Am not able to change out the lenses as described plus changing the battery is a challenge also

I have (had) a laser VERY similar to this (same type but w/o heads)
anyways bought it at at petstore for around 10$ it peaked at 5mw then just was dim the batts were VERY hard to replace.
If you're looking for a laser for your pet get a red laser (not one
shaped like a bullet) Or even a green laser, just be careful of your pet's eyes because most class llb lasers can cause BAD eye damage.

I bought this pointer to to executive level presentations with, and once I opened the package I found the pointer to be hard to use, the buttons require significant force to depress them and the quality of the line feature of the pointer is poor.
Spend your money elsewhere on a different product. I bought it because of the brand name, and that was a let down.

Imagine preparing your presentation. You arrive at the meeting room. The a/v person asks you for a copy of your presentation, and you calmly reach into your pocket, pull out your presentation pointer, slide out the small USB dongle from the pointer's body, and state, "Please plug this in. My presentation is on the memory card, and the dongle is also for my pointer ... "
Well, with a/v equipment mis-match horror stories all around us, it isn't quite the Nirvana scenario I just wrote., and i still carry my own computer, projector, and screen with me at all times. But this device is my "Plan B," where I can carry my presentations (saved in Keynote, PowerPoint, and QT formats) all on its included 2GB memory card, to be as compatible as I can be with varying a/v setups.
You will love the physical "feel" of this device: It has that smooth, "rubberized" material on it. It works well in either hand. Button layout is simple. The pointer is a bright green LED - green being a little more impactful (well, ok, I'll say it - green LEDs are just cool). Unit runs off of a pair of standard AAA alkalines.
The pointer also ships with a great, protective hard case.
This combination of green LED pointer, USB/memory card reader, and physical design is a winner.

Love this product. I teach an EMT class and use the remote each day during my lectures. I have also used it during my classes at the university I attend. The USB memory/remote interface is also helpful. I have not bought a separate micro SD card for it yet since I have not maxed out the 2GB of memory. The blackout button on the remote is also a great feature for turning off the presentation when you are not lecturing or having the presentation prepared to go but not wanting to show it yet.
I connect it to my 2011 MacBookPro 15".

I love laser pointers and when I saw a $10 UV laser on here, I had to buy it. It's not a very well made laser, but it sure does work. There is very little-no fading after initially pressing the button which is a common problem among cheap-ish lasers. The cap it comes with is mad psychedelic and the beam is visible in a dark/smokey area. Best part about a UV laser is that it charges anything that glows in the dark.

Have been using this laser pointer for about two weeks in the workplace without problem or difficulty. Following the recent earthquake in the DC area, we had a need for a pointer due to the extremely high ceilings both inside and outside of our buildings. When possible cracks were found using binoculars, team members were able to use the pointer to highlight where attention should be focused. Spotting was clear and crisp both inside the buildings as well as on the outside in bright sunlight.

No, it's not red - it's green Okay, just about everyone has a red laser pointer. This pointer is significantly brighter (about 50 times) than a red laser pointer and because of its unusual color it is much more noticeable. I mean come on, a 532 nm green laser wavelength is obviously superior to a laughable 650 nm red laser wavelength. And unlike a red laser, the green beam itself can be seen in mid-air in dark conditions, not just the laser beam dot. This allows the green laser pointer to be used for pointing to star constellations (sky pointing) and also just generally look cool as hell. The green laser beam dot can be seen at much greater distances than with a red laser pointer. Since green direct injection laser diodes aren't readily available, this pointer is based on the use of Diode Pumped Solid State Frequency Doubled (DPSSFD) laser technology. A high power IR laser diode at 808 nm pumps a tiny block of Nd:YVO4 generating light at 1,064 nm which feeds a KTP intracavity frequency doubler crystal to produce the green beam at 532 nm. This unit is much brighter than another green laser I used to own (which dimmed after switching on). The beam output is constantly bright, and I can see the beam in a semi-darkened room, in fact, I can see the beam under my desk in a well lit office. With a magnifying glass I can actually burn small holes in black dustbin liner (don't try this at home!). It's well made, feels nice and comes in a smart foam lined steel case. This is definitely the best laser pointer I've ever had. Highly recommended.

I put new batteries in the laser pointer when it arrived and it worked fine at first. However, I then set it down for a few minutes before picking it up again. I put it straight back down because the metal housing was too hot to touch. This happened in the course of about 2 minutes. I had to use a spare t-shirt to pick it up, unscrew the cap and tip the batteries out. I let the product sit for a few minutes to cool down and put it back in. A few days later the same thing happened.
I wanted to know why this was happening. It was only occasionally, but twice in three days was too common for something that could start a fire. What I noticed bothers me; this device works by passing its current through the outer metal housing! The cap to the batter compartment is just a plain piece of metal that pushes directly against the battery. Obviously the idea is that whenever the device isn't in use the circuit is open and no current passes (so no heat), and while in use energy is consumed by the laser so there isn't excess energy that needs to be burned off as heat. Somehow, perhaps shaking it the wrong way or setting it down too roughly, the device manages to short circuit itself creating a closed circuit without engaging the laser unit, causing it to become incredibly hot until the batteries run out. This unit is a fire hazard.
Also, the button is weak. Even before I ever pressed it, it rattled a lot just by toughing it. If you're in a job where you'll use this product on a frequent (daily) basis like me (I'm a teacher), I doubt the button will last you six months.
I'm disappointed and returning this. I'm just glad I hadn't put this in my briefcase when it decided to get hot.

This laser light cuts out a lot, like it doesn't make good contact. There are no directions sent either it to even know what type of batteries it needs...AAA... Would not recommend even spending the $$$ on the shipping for this product!

This is a heavy duty metal pointer, great for executives or for a cat toy. The dot is sharp and bright, Not sure why I need it, but my Cat likes it.
