Blue lasers are on the cutting edge of consumer laser pointers. This beautiful blue-violet laser is more pleasing to look at than red or green! Please note, because the human eye is more sensitive to green than to blue, this laser pointer will appear less bright than a similar green one. However, the milliwatt output is factory-calibrated and accurate. In daylight or bright places, the blue laser will be more difficult to see. In darkness, it is still bright and perfect for use in presentations. In fact, it is not "too bright" to look at like some green lasers!

After playing with it for half a day this laser works well. It's unfortunate that you can barely see the beam at night but it's not a very high power laser and 405 nm is harder to see than the 523 nm (green) lasers. Shining it on objects outside in daylight can be hard to see at a distance, but indoors it seems visible anywhere. If I shine it on my ceiling in my bedroom at night it acts kinda like a blacklight, highlighting everything that's white. So far, so good.

This is a pretty dang cool laser. yeah the dot does look funny when you point it at a far away at the wall. it looks blurry NOT cause the laser sucks but its from the way it reflects in your eyes. have someone shine it on the wall close up and then stand far back and notice when you go back more it gets blurry but the person by the wall will see it just as a purple dot. a very good priced laser so what would you expect? i bought some glow in the dark paint and painted my ceiling above my bed and when i can sleep at night i just draw stuff on my ceiling with this laser on the paint its pretty fun. this laser also is cools with highlighters. well worth the price
